Take your measurements slowly and follow each guide carefully. When in doubt, I’m here to help you through the process. Your body is the blueprint. I translate it into luxury fit design.

Welcome to your private fitting atelier. Each measurement is a step toward creating a piece that honors your unique form.

Every piece begins with precision. This is your body, translated into couture structure.

Your Fit Blueprint

Before your piece is created, your measurements become the blueprint. Every curve, angle, and proportion is mapped with intention to ensure a sculpted, custom couture fit.

Bust

The fullest circumference of your chest, defining the upper silhouette.

  • Stand naturally with arms relaxed at your sides
  • Gently wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust
  • Allow the tape to rest naturally against the body without compression
  • Ensure the tape is parallel to the floor all the way around

Underbust

Essential for couture structure alignment in bodysuits and corsets.

  • Measure directly beneath the bust where the band would naturally sit
  • Keep the tape snug but not tight
  • This defines the sculptural balance of your garment

Waist

The narrowest point of your torso, where the body naturally curves inward.

  • Locate your natural waistline by bending gently to one side
  • Wrap the tape around this narrowest point
  • Breathe naturally and avoid pulling the tape too tight
This measurement is critical for structured pieces and custom corsetry.

Hips

The fullest part of your lower body, typically around the hip bone.

  • Stand with feet together
  • Measure around the widest part of your hips and buttocks
  • Keep the tape parallel to the floor

High Hip

Measured just below the waist, above the fullest part of the hips.

  • Measure approximately 3-4 inches below your natural waist
  • This captures the upper hip curve for precise garment draping

Torso Length

From shoulder to the base of your body, defining vertical proportion.

  • Begin at the highest point of your shoulder near the neck
  • Measure down through the center of your bust
  • Continue to the point between your legs where a bodysuit would naturally end
Essential for bodysuit and one-piece construction to ensure proper fit and comfort.

Shoulder to Bust

Vertical distance from shoulder to the fullest point of the bust.

  • Start at the top of your shoulder
  • Measure straight down to the apex of your bust
  • This ensures proper placement of structured cups and support

Shoulder to Waist

Defines the upper body length for tailored garment construction.

  • Measure from the top of your shoulder down to your natural waistline
  • Keep the tape close to your body following your natural curve

Nipple to Nipple

Horizontal distance between bust points for precise cup placement.

  • Measure the straight-line distance between the center of each bust
  • This measurement ensures anatomically correct garment structure

Nipple to Underbust

Vertical distance defining cup depth and support structure.

  • Measure from the center of your bust straight down to the underbust line
  • Critical for bikini tops and structured bodysuits

Thigh Circumference

The fullest part of your upper thigh for leg opening precision.

  • Measure around the fullest part of your thigh
  • Typically 2-3 inches below the hip crease
  • Essential for high-cut bikini bottoms and bodysuit leg openings

Inseam

Inner leg length from crotch to desired garment ending point.

  • Measure from the point between your legs down to where you want the garment to end
  • Relevant for shorts, leggings, and extended bodysuit styles

Shoulder Width

Distance across the back from shoulder point to shoulder point.

  • Measure across your back from the edge of one shoulder to the other
  • This defines strap placement and back panel width

Arm Circumference

The fullest part of your upper arm for sleeve construction.

  • Measure around the fullest part of your bicep
  • Keep your arm relaxed at your side
  • Relevant for long-sleeve bodysuits and arm accessories

Wrist

Circumference of your wrist for glove-fit sleeve endings.

  • Measure around your wrist bone
  • Used for fitted sleeve cuffs and wrist details

Cup Size

Your standard bra cup size for reference in structured garment design.

  • Provide your typical bra cup size (A, B, C, D, DD, etc.)
  • This assists in determining support structure and cup shaping
While cup size is helpful, precise bust measurements ensure the most accurate custom fit.

Couture Atelier Standard

Precision is the foundation of couture construction. Even small variations may alter the sculpted fit of your piece, especially in micro designs and structured garments. If uncertain, measurements should be reviewed before submission to ensure flawless execution.
